We observe special days to mark the significance of some important events. Apart from this certain days are also celebrated to create awareness among people. We observe these days by planting saplings.
We Find & Support
We find talents and support their journey. We sponsor educational expenses of external needy students.
We Empower
We promote women empowerment in several ways by welcoming their thoughts and uplifting their standards by way of literacy and various training.
who we are
Story behind the journey
A journey of happiness and soulfulness was started in the year of 2009. We, the initiators of UNIVERSAL SMILE started our initiative by distributing goodies pack including food packets, books, chocolates, sports accessories, blanket, mosquito-nets to the needy children living by the streets of Kolkata.
It was just then that we planned to start a small children home with children who really needed basic food, clothes and are eager for learing. But the task was not so easy like we planned. We visited various places for convincing their parents or known people. Few of them had single parent. It was easier to get permission from their mothers rather from their fathers. But somehow they were convinced for the better future of their children. We arranged a small rented house with separate accommodation for girls and boys and basic amenities. Initially we brought into our folds 6 such children mainly from the streets near Ballygunge Phari.

Our Mission
We mainly focused on nurturing both the siblings if found in certain families. We tried to provide the children with a homely environment so that they do not feel lonely.
